María M. Pardo de Vera joins Ceca Magán as a partner

Ceca Magán Abogados has announced the signing of María M. Pardo de Vera as new partner in the area of Criminal Compliance, Data Protection and Digital Law, joining the team led by Ramón Mesonero-Romanos in the Madrid office.

Throughout his more than 20 years of experience, he has developed a deep knowledge of regulatory compliance, privacy and data protection. In the last two years, he has focused his work on the adaptation of regulations to the use of artificial intelligence, supporting companies in the design and implementation of regulatory frameworks in accordance with the new European AI Regulation (RIA) and its integration with existing compliance systems. Throughout her career she has designed and implemented internal policies, control procedures, ethical channels and training plans for companies in different sectors, helping them to consolidate a real compliance culture.

M. Pardo has a degree in Law from the Complutense University of Madrid and has specialized studies in ICT Law and Compliance. She also holds the certifications of DPD (Data Protection Delegate) and CAIP, focused on the link between AI and information security.

She combines the practice of law with teaching, currently directing the Executive in AI and Law at Centro de Estudios Garrigues. Also, teaching in the Executive Master’s Degree in Digital Law and Technology at the same center. M. Pardo is also a regular contributor to specialized media and publications focused on privacy, regulatory compliance and data protection. She is the author and co-author of several books and informative materials on these subjects.
