Greg Keith, new global CEO of Grant Thornton

Grant Thornton International Ltd (GTIL), one of the world’s leading professional services networks, has announced the appointment of Greg Keith as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026. Keith will succeed Peter Bodin, who concludes his successful eight-year tenure at the end of 2025, having served two consecutive terms.

Keith, the current CEO of Grant Thornton Australia, will become the first GTIL global leader based in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region—an appointment that signals the network’s continued evolution toward a more globally inclusive leadership model.

The decision was made unanimously last week in Paris by GTIL’s Governance Board, which includes representation from the network’s largest member firms. The board includes Ramón Galcerán, Chairman of Grant Thornton Spain, who praised the appointment: “Greg’s extensive experience within GTIL’s global governance structures brings both continuity and deep knowledge of our strategic direction,” Galcerán noted.

Outgoing CEO Peter Bodin, who was formerly CEO of Grant Thornton Sweden, leaves behind a legacy of transformative leadership. Under his stewardship, the network saw revenues grow from $5 billion to $8 billion, while advancing audit quality through LEAP, the firm’s global methodology and technology platform. His tenure is also marked by a collaborative global strategy focused on both protecting and growing the network.

A Proven Leader with a Global Vision

Greg Keith brings a decade of leadership as CEO of Grant Thornton Australia, during which the firm achieved record growth and implemented a clear, people-first strategy. His selection followed a rigorous global process, supported by external advisors and culminating in unanimous approval from GTIL’s Governance Board. He will serve a five-year term.

In his new role, Keith will collaborate closely with GTIL’s Governance Board and its international team of over 150 professionals, providing strategic direction and operational leadership across a multidisciplinary network of more than 76,000 professionals in over 150 markets worldwide.
