Eversheds Sutherland advises eToro on its registration as a cryptoasset service provider with CNMV

Eversheds Sutherland has advised eToro on its registration process as a cryptoasset service provider with the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV). The investment platform, which operates with both traditional and digital assets, thus becomes one of the first foreign entities with a presence in Spain to obtain this official authorization.

This registration allows eToro to continue providing its services in the Spanish market with regulatory support, in a context of increasing supervision over cryptoassets and their operations.

The Eversheds Sutherland team that has led the advice has been formed by partner Manuel López and lawyers Borja Dopico, Francisco López Flores and Constanza Gilaz Villalobos Candelario, from the financial regulation and digital assets area.
