Gema Álvarez, senior business development, marketing & communication at Linklaters, passes away

The legal and legal marketing world mourns the passing of Gema Álvarez, who until now held the position of senior business development, marketing & communication. Advisor in Linklaters’ Madrid office.

Álvarez was part of Linklaters for more than eight years in this last stage, leading key initiatives in business development, communication and corporate social responsibility. Previously, she had been a lawyer in the firm’s finance department between 2011 and 2014, participating in bank restructuring transactions, debt issuances and due diligence processes, among other large-scale projects.

Her experience also included a stint at CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo as Executive, Business Development, Marketing & Communication.

With a degree in Law and in Business Administration and Management, with a clearly multidisciplinary vocation, Gema combined her legal profile with an outstanding work in strategic communication, corporate development and social commitment, being an active part of the Community Investment Programme (CIP) at Linklaters.
