PwC, Harvey, and Lefebvre launch AI-powered platform

PwC Tax & Legal, the legal and tax advisory division of PwC in Spain, along with Harvey and Lefebvre, has announced the launch of a groundbreaking generative artificial intelligence (AI) platform. Set to be available from April 7, this innovative platform aims to revolutionize the legal and tax advisory landscape by offering businesses cutting-edge, customized solutions.

This initiative originated in 2023 from a global alliance between PwC Tax & Legal and Harvey. The project took a significant step forward in Spain a year ago with Lefebvre’s inclusion in the agreement. Over the past 12 months, the three organizations have collaborated to develop a unique platform that integrates the expertise and high-quality standards of PwC Tax & Legal professionals, Harvey’s specialized AI for legal services, and Lefebvre’s comprehensive public legal documentation database—the most extensive in Spain.

Harvey’s proprietary AI models are trained on legal data and processes and fine-tuned by experienced lawyers to emulate expert legal reasoning. The integration of Lefebvre ensures that the AI-generated results are backed by up-to-date and reliable case law, legislation, and administrative doctrine. This synergy between PwC Tax & Legal, Harvey, and Lefebvre results in a continuously updated and refined product.

The project’s implementation at PwC Tax & Legal has been spearheaded by a team of 23 professionals, including technical experts in ten different disciplines, local and regional regulatory specialists, and technology professionals. Alongside teams from Harvey and Lefebvre, these experts have provided critical knowledge and context, conducted extensive testing, and refined the model’s responses to ensure its accuracy and effectiveness.

Given the complexity of Spain’s legal system—marked by frequent regulatory changes and multiple governing bodies with legislative and interpretative authority—Lefebvre’s participation as a strategic partner has been crucial. As Spain’s leading legal content provider, Lefebvre contributes a robust and continuously updated database.
