Pablo García Montañés new president of the Spanish ASES

The Association of Secretaries General and Board Secretaries (ASES) has appointed Pablo García Montañés, Secretary General and Board Secretary of Grupo Andbank, as its new president. He replaces Eduardo Muela Rodríguez (CBNK), following the board’s approval of a leadership renewal last week.

Alongside García Montañés as president, the newly appointed board includes Eduardo Muela Rodríguez as a board member, as well as Zahorí Martínez (in a personal capacity) and Chelo Borrás (Abanca) as vice presidents. Other board members include Teresa Múgica (Inversis Banco), Juan Ignacio González de Eugenio (Cartesio), Gabriel Rodríguez de la Paz (Spanish Basketball Federation), Lorea García Jauregui (Otis), Daniel Sevillano (Andbank España), and Isabel García Díaz-Mauriño (Actyus Private Equity).

The up to now Vice-President of the Association, was born in Granada, although he spent most of his youth in Seville, and began his professional career at Deloitte.

Founded in early 2023, the Spanish Association of General Secretaries and Board Secretaries is a non-profit organization that serves as a meeting point for general secretaries and board secretaries of prestigious public and private entities.

The association aims to promote the recognition of this role within companies and contribute to the professional development of its members.
