CCSL hosts new exhibition by Rita Ferreira

CCSL Advogados presents “Poise,” the latest exhibition by visual artist Rita Ferreira, currently on display at its offices. The exhibition is part of the firms’ corporate social responsibility policy – CCSL Impacto, an initiative dedicated to promoting emerging artists to a broader and more diverse audience. The office serves as an alternative exhibition space for showcasing contemporary art. To bring this project to life, CCSL Advogados collaborates with Circle Collection, curating solo and group exhibitions that last approximately six months.

“In this exhibition, Rita Ferreira explores a realm where the image thickens and dissolves, similar to a substance whose resistance to flow defines its identity. Viscosity, in this context, is not just a metaphor but an operative principle: in her compositions, memory adheres to the surface of the drawing like a fluid that refuses to drain completely, accumulating in layers”, states CCSL.

About Rita Ferreira

A finalist in the 14th edition of the EDP Foundation New Artists Award and winner of the Young Creators Grant from the National Center for Culture, Rita Ferreira has been solidifying her place in the contemporary Portuguese art scene. Her works are part of various national and international collections, including: NMNM Collection (Nouveau Musée National de Monaco), Monaco; EDP Foundation, Portugal; António Cachola Collection, Portugal; De Bruin-Heijn Collection, Netherlands; Fernando Ribeiro Collection, Portugal; PLMJ Collection, Portugal; Millennium BCP Foundation, Portugal. Her work “Parasita” (2019) was acquired for the State Contemporary Art Collection, further cementing her recognition in the artistic community.

Drawing from biographical, historical, anthropological, and biological references, Rita Ferreira creates works that, despite their abstract appearance, reveal a dense and complex phenomenological and projective field. Elements such as psychedelic flowers and traces of objects contribute to the research that structures her artistic practice.

CCSL art exhibitions

This exhibition follows the photography show “Entre as Margens do Ser” by Pedro Gomes Almeida and continues CCSL Advogados’ tradition of supporting the arts. Previous exhibitions featured works by Rui Aleixo, Sebastião Castelo Lopes, and Carolina Sardinha. “This initiative reflects our commitment to promoting the arts as part of its corporate social responsibility policy. We are very proud to host Rita Ferreira’s exhibition, as she is a reference among young national artists”, states João de Lemos Portugal, partner in charge of social responsibility.
