Bird & Bird advises in €1.1m Zorro’s latest financing round
Bird & Bird has acted as legal advisor to Zorro Eats, the Madrid-based company founded by entrepreneur César de Pablo Huete, as part of its latest financing round in which the company has raised 1.1 million euros through different instruments. This transaction represents a strategic step for the company in its objective of introducing to the Spanish market the shawarma, a gastronomic proposal of Middle Eastern origin, differentiated by its quality and premium concept.
The financing round has counted with the participation of ENISA (National Innovation Company), which has contributed 195,000 euros, as well as other private investors. With this capital injection, Zorro plans to expand its footprint in Spain, strengthen its team and continue its exponential growth in the restaurant sector.
The firm’s team was led by Alberto Rodríguez, counsel in the corporate team, with the support of associates Pablo Vílchez and Begoña Vega (corporate) and Carlos Zabala (employment).
