María Victoria Vega new partner at Auren

Auren, a leading Spanish professional services firm specializing in audit, legal advisory, consulting, and corporate services on a global scale, has announced the appointment of María Victoria Vega as a new partner in Auren Legal. Vega will spearhead the firm’s Economic Criminal Law division, further enhancing its capabilities in this critical area.

Vega holds a Law degree from the Complutense University of Madrid and a degree in Economics and Business Administration from UNED. She also earned a doctorate in European Union Law, specializing in Economic Criminal Law.

With over 25 years of professional experience, Vega is a seasoned expert in Economic Criminal Law, particularly focusing on money laundering and tax fraud cases. Her impressive career includes 14 years at El Corte Inglés, where she led the Anti-Money Laundering Prevention department. Following this role, she founded her own law firm, VDT Abogados, and 4UCloud, a legal cybersecurity company where she served as director and founding partner. Most recently, Vega was part of Andersen, leading the firm’s criminal litigation and compliance practice.

In addition to her extensive professional background, Vega is also an accomplished academic, serving as a professor at institutions such as ESIC, ESERP, EOI, Universidad Europea de Madrid, and Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
