Ontier integrates the criminal boutique Bufete Trallero

Ontier strengthens its economic criminal department with the integration of Bufete Trallero, a firm specialized in criminal law, with more than 30 years of experience. The merger will be effective in January 2025 with the incorporation of Alfonso Trallero as new partner of the criminal area together with his team of lawyers and professionals.

Cristina Camarero, managing partner of Ontier Spain, states that “The integration of Bufete Trallero into Ontier is a decisive step in our strategy of consolidation as a firm of reference in the criminal field. Trallero is a firm of absolute reference in Spain, with an impeccable track record in high-profile cases. At Ontier, the economic criminal area has always been one of our hallmarks, leading some of the most relevant cases in the economic history of this country. The union of both teams not only strengthens our position, but also places us, without a doubt, as an undisputed reference in this area.”

Global commitment to the area of economic criminal law

This move, together with the integration that took place a few months ago in Italy, of another criminal law firm led by Francesco Verri, represents a clear commitment to the area of economic criminal law at a global level. “This integration not only increases the capacity of the team in a key area, but also allows the firm to offer its clients a more complete and specialized service, backed by an international structure of resources and knowledge,” the firm said.

Alfonso Trallero, Ontier’s new partner

The integration will take effect in January of next year, at which time Alfonso Trallero will join Ontier as a partner in the Criminal area along with his team of lawyers and professionals. Trallero will join Berta Aguinaga’s current team, strengthening the firm’s commitment to excellence and specialization in one of its most strategic areas.

Alfonso Trallero, founder of the firm, holds a law degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and is a leading lawyer in Economic Criminal Law, Criminal Procedural Law and Constitutional Criminal Law in Spain.

He has participated in prominent national and international cases, being recognized by the main directories at a global level. In addition, he is a professor of the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession at the Universidad Carlos III, collaborator of the World Justice Project and author of numerous publications. His career includes prominent roles at ICAM, consultancies for the Ministry of Justice and international projects in defense of human rights.

Pedro Rodero, CEO of Ontier Spain, comments that they are “very pleased to welcome Bufete Trallero. This incorporation not only expands our capacity in a key area, but also allows us to offer a more complete and specialized service to our clients. This integration is in line with what was established in our strategic plan and announced at our last international convention, regarding our commitment to continue advancing in an orderly inorganic growth by adding top-level professionals to the Ontier team.”

In the same vein, Alfonso Trallero underlines that “joining Ontier, a global firm of recognized prestige, is excellent news for our entire team. This integration not only allows us to be part of a first class international structure, but also gives us the opportunity to continue offering our clients a specialized service in Economic Criminal Law, with the support and resources of a global firm.”
