RocaJunyent implements the Leya AI platform
RocaJunyent is committed to innovation and efficiency. The firm has implemented the Generative AI tool, Leya, following the roadmap set out in the firm’s Strategic Plan. The adoption of Leya helps them to create more agile processes by automating tasks, but in no case will it replace “the experience, knowledge and expert judgment of our professionals” as its executive chairman Joan Roca explains.
Value-added consulting
“The adoption of Leya represents an important step for RocaJunyent,” says the firm. Its goal is to equip its professionals with cutting-edge technological tools that allow them to focus on providing value-added advice to clients. Leya uses multilevel and artificial intelligence technologies to deliver accurate and high-value results, integrating with document management systems to ensure the confidentiality and security of information, both internal and external to the organization.
In Leya, lawyers can review contracts in depth to perform risk analysis, generate first drafts, compare contracts against models, extract information from hundreds of documents and perform other essential tasks. The platform works by merging cutting-edge natural language processing technology with advanced data retrieval systems to provide accurate, context-appropriate responses.
Joan Roca, executive chairman of RocaJunyent, highlights the goals of AI adoption at the firm, with clients always at the center of decision-making: “Generative artificial intelligence has already started the transformation of the legal sector. At RocaJunyent we are very aware of the need to keep moving forward to offer the best service to our clients, in the most efficient way, and always with the top priority of guaranteeing the security and confidentiality of our services.” The firm’s CEO also notes that “the adoption of Leya helps us create more agile processes by automating tasks, but in no case does AI replace the experience, knowledge and expert judgment of our professionals when advising our clients.”
Other firms
Pérez-Llorca was the first Spanish law firm to integrate this Swedish tool in February 2024. Subsequently, the Spanish law firm Araoz & Rueda also integrated it, and in early July it announced its entry into the UK, through Bird&Bird and its alliance with legal data provider FromCounsel. This adds to other key partnerships already established on the European continent.
