Borders and identity: Camila Lobos Díaz at Vasco VdA Foundation

On November 13, the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation inaugurated the contemporary art exhibition “Line of Union” by artist Camila Lobos Díaz—recipient of the FONDART grant from Chile’s National Council for Culture—curated by Verónica de Mello, at the Vieira de Almeida office.

The exhibition features an installation that invites reflection on the lines that divide and unite people, addressing current issues related to identity, migration, and the complexities of Europe’s geographic and political borders. This approach delves into one of the significant challenges of contemporary society, relevant to a global and cross-cutting context.

The exhibition is part of the series titled “New Perspectives,” an initiative by the Vasco Vieira de Almeida Foundation to promote contemporary culture in its various forms, fostering critical thinking, multiculturalism, and interdisciplinarity through a fresh perspective.
