Marimón Abogados appoints Marta Valls as new counsel and head of consumer law department
Marimón Abogados has appointed Marta Valls as the new counsel and head of the consumer law department, a decision agreed upon at its recent partners’ meeting.

Marta Valls holds a Law degree from Abat Oliba-CEU University and a Master’s degree in Territorial, Urban Planning, and Environmental Law from the Institute of Continuing Education – UPF.
More than 20 years ago, Valls began her professional career at Marimón Abogados’ Barcelona office and has since been a part of the Public and Regulatory Law Department, working alongside the team led by Nathalie Klefisch in Barcelona and Antonio Alcolea in Madrid. Additionally, she is part of the firm’s Italian Desk, where she contributes her strategic insight and knowledge of the Italian market, and she actively collaborates with the Spanish Digital Economy Association, of which Marimón Abogados is a member.
Over the years, the new counsel has specialized in consumer law. In particular, she assists companies in complying with consumer regulations, both general and sector-specific, addressing matters such as product safety, design, accessibility, and labeling. She leads the firm’s regulatory advice to retail sector companies for both offline and online activities. Valls also advises manufacturers of mass consumer goods, including food products, as well as medical, cosmetic, and luxury products. She regularly defends clients’ interests in various administrative and contentious proceedings.
