Broseta expands Digital Economy Expertise with two new Partners

Broseta has welcomed Assumpta Zorraquino and Alejandra Matas as new partners in its Barcelona office, enhancing its commercial law team of around 60 professionals. Both attorneys bring extensive experience from PwC Tax & Legal and will strengthen Broseta’s New Technologies area, aligning with the firm’s strategic growth plan, Horizonte 27.

The addition of Zorraquino and Matas supports Broseta’s ambition to lead in digital economy legal services. Assumpta Zorraquino, with over 30 years in digital regulation, has advised leading Spanish companies on data privacy, IP rights, and digital contract management, including over 100 GDPR compliance projects. Alejandra Matas, an expert in intellectual property litigation, has a strong background in emerging technologies such as AI, NFTs, and blockchain. Her expertise extends to acting as a Data Protection Officer (DPO) for major corporations.

According to Broseta’s president, Manuel Broseta, these hires “mark a significant step in advancing our specialization in the digital economy,” while managing partner Rosa Vidal noted that Zorraquino and Matas bring essential support in both commercial and procedural law. This strategic expansion highlights Broseta’s commitment to providing comprehensive, specialized services in rapidly evolving areas impacting diverse sectors.
