Filipe Cerqueira Alves has been appointed to lead the newly established legal department at Forvis Mazars in Portugal, focusing on Tax, Corporate, and Contract Law. Previously a partner at Cerqueira Alves & Associados, Alves will spearhead the department’s launch and growth, aligning with Forvis Mazars’ global network, which provides state and local tax compliance along with consulting services across diverse tax domains. The Portugal-based new legal department will offer on-demand legal guidance to Group partners, broadening its integrated and independent services.
