Dower advises Grupo Acail on €16M companies acquisition
Dower Law Firm has advised Grupo Acail on the acquisition of three food retail companies belonging to the portfolio of the Ceres I-Development fund, managed by Magnify Capital Partners. The transaction exceeded 16 million euros, informs Dower.
The Ceres I-Development fund invests in small and medium-sized Portuguese companies with high growth potential, focusing on projects in the food retail sector. The three companies acquired by Grupo Acail operate in the development and management of commercial activities, including supermarkets, hypermarkets and other establishments dedicated to the sale of food products.
“This acquisition marks a new chapter in the expansion strategy of Grupo Acail which, as a new player in the food retail market, seeks to consolidate its position and increase its relevance in this highly competitive sector”, states Dower in a press release.
The team responsible for the operation was led by managing partner Eduardo Castro Marques, with the support of associate lawyers Cláudia Rodrigues de Carvalho and Manuel César Machado (all pictured from left to right). The fund was advised by Mariana Ferraz Viveiros.
