Repsol hosts ‘Innovative Legal Minds’ event focus on Legal Innovation

Repsol organized the “Innovative Legal Minds” event, bringing together legal and tech experts to discuss the latest trends in legal innovation, including AI and digital transformation. CEO Josu Jon Imaz emphasized the strategic role of Repsol’s legal team, highlighting the company’s digital initiatives that have boosted cash flow by €800 million.

The event aimed to position the company at the forefront of legaltech advancements and highlighted the strategic importance of legal innovation within the company’s broader goals. The event featured notable speakers such as Madrid Mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida, who stressed the impact of corporate innovation on societal growth, and industry leaders who explored the integration of AI in legal practices.

Panel discussions featured industry leaders and experts, such as Gabriel Pereyra, co-founder of Harvey, who spoke about AI’s practical applications in the legal field, and Heidi K. Gardner from Gardner & Co, who explored the value of collaboration in the digital age. Repsol’s own legal team shared insights into integrating legal frameworks with technological advancements, showcasing projects like “Protea,” which symbolizes the company’s commitment to adaptability and continuous improvement.

Closing the event, Pablo Blanco, Repsol’s Secretary of the Board, recapped the discussions and reaffirmed the company’s dedication to legal innovation as a key driver of future growth, emphasizing AI, talent development, and cross-disciplinary collaboration as central themes.
