PRA announces new governance structure for ESG practices

PRA – Raposo, Sá Miranda & Associados is set to create a new governance structure to strengthen its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices. The restructuring includes expanding partners participation and establishing two new committees – the Ethics and Risks Committee and the Corporate Governance and Sustainability Committee.

The firm’s board of directors, chaired by founding partner Pedro Raposo (pictured), will retain its roles of representation and oversight and will be expanded to include nine partners. The Executive Committee, which holds all management responsibilities, will continue to be led by managing partner Miguel Miranda and will still include attorneys and partners Susana Santos Valente, Pedro Sá, and David Coelho.

“We believe PRA is the sum of various experiences, perspectives, and backgrounds. To grow, it’s important to do things differently, to have new approaches, and, as our manifesto says, to innovate with every step,” says Miguel Miranda. According to the law firm, the new structure aims to not only reflect its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and engagement of all stakeholders in PRA’s future, but also to create value for society.
