Amorim Tax & Legal, the new Portuguese law firm
A new law firm has been established in Portugal in the past few months: Amorim Tax & Legal, founded by Luís Amorim Teixeira, a lawyer specializing in Tax Law, both in Planning and Litigation.
The new firm operates between Barcelos, a center for the textile industry, and Porto. According to the firm, its areas of expertise will be Taxation, Contracts, Real Estate, and Business and Investment Consulting, as well as Individual Clients. It will also have a department dedicated to Registrations and Notarial Services, handling authenticated private documents, powers of attorney, preliminary purchase agreements, signature recognitions, and document certification.
About Luís Amorim Teixeira
With a 25-year career, Amorim Teixeira holds a law degree from Universidade Lusíada and postgraduate degrees in Corporate Law and Tax Law from the Portuguese Catholic University and the Faculty of Law at the University of Porto, respectively. He also has executive training from the Nova School of Business and Economics in Blockchain & Smart Contracts and from MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in Blockchain: Disruptive Technology. He maintains collaborations with law firms in Brazil, Spain, and Luxembourg, continuing some of these partnerships.
“Litigation prevention plays a key role in advising clients on Tax, Labor, Corporate, and Commercial matters, assisting with real estate investments, asset management consulting, and the drafting, analysis, and monitoring of Contracts. A close relationship with clients is, therefore, in the firm’s DNA, acting as a true legal department for businesses. And, of course, the Litigation department represents clients at all levels, both judicial and arbitration, especially in Tax Arbitration. Special attention will also be given to new technologies, the digital economy, blockchain technology, smart contracts, and crypto assets,” the firm said in a statement.
According to the firm’s founder, next month Amorim Tax & Legal will announce more updates, both in terms of services and the professionals joining, with two significant additions initially.
