Francesca Renzulli named general counsel at Prima

Francesca Renzulli, former Corporate Governance Director of the Nexi Group, has been appointed General Counsel of Prima Assicurazioni for which she will be responsible for legal and compliance matters, with a key role in protecting the company’s legal interests. He will be responsible for overseeing and managing all of the company’s legal affairs, not only in Italy, but also in Spain and the UK, reporting directly to George Ottathycal, CEO of Prima Assicurazioni.

Renzulli, who has a long career in legal and regulatory affairs, comes from digital payments provider Nexi, where she was Group Corporate Governance Director. Previously, she worked as General Counsel at Anima Holding and for international law firms such as Linklaters and Clifford Chance; she is also an independent director of Intermonte Partners SIM.

The appointment of a General Counsel, who will report directly to Prima Assicurazioni’s CEO, George Ottathycal, responds to Prima’s need to enrich its executive team with more experience to accompany the company’s solid and rapid growth in Italy and in the foreign markets of the UK and Spain.

Prima Assicurazioni is an insurtech specialized in car, motorcycle, van, home and family policies with more than 3.5 million customers.
