Alex Carbonell joins AGM Abogados
AGM Abogados has hired Alex Carbonell Real-Salas, from Gómez-Acebo & Pombo, as a new partner in the firm’s transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and corporate area.
Alex Carbonell Real-Salas
With more than 20 years of professional experience, Alex Carbonell has a degree in Law and a Master’s Degree in Business and Tax Law from ESADE University. He has also studied at the Academy of American and International Law in the United States, specializing in International and Comparative Law.
He began his professional career with a Leonardo scholarship from the European Union at Haarman Hemmelrath & Partner, Germany. Subsequently, he joined Gómez-Acebo & Pombo Abogados, where he developed an extensive career in the commercial, real estate and financial departments in the Madrid and Barcelona offices. During his time at the firm, he reached the position of Partner in the Commercial Department.

Specialize in corporate law and finance law
With a vast experience, Carbonell has advised clients in mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructurings, foreign investments in Spain and of Spanish companies abroad, as well as in financing and highly complex commercial contracts. In addition, he has worked with companies in key sectors such as venture capital, private equity, retail, new technologies, financial services and fintech, automotive, pharmaceutical or real estate.
Throughout his career, Alex has continued to train constantly, participating as a speaker at seminars and national and international legal congresses. He is currently an Associate Professor at ESADE Law School, in the area of International Business Law.
He has also been a member of the Executive Committee of AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers) and Chairman of its Banking, Capital Markets and Insurance Committee. He has also served as secretary non-counselor in several companies and organizations.
