GC Legal reinforces the labour area with Belén Villalba

GC Legal has announced the strategic addition of Belén Villalba as a new partner in its Labor Law department. With over 30 years of experience in employment law, Villalba brings a wealth of expertise and a strategic vision to the firm, aiming to strengthen its labor team and ensure specialized, high-quality legal advice for clients.

Belén Villalba holds a degree in Law and a diploma in Business Sciences from Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICADE. Over her distinguished career, she has held senior roles at top law firms, including Baker & McKenzie, where she was a local partner in the Labor Law department, and Briones, Alonso y Martin-Bureau Francis, where she led the labor practice. Additionally, she has co-founded and led several boutique firms, such as Garrido & Villalba Abogados, Claudio Coello Abogados, and Estudio Jurídico Villalba.

In recent years, Villalba has worked as an independent legal professional, but her return to GC Legal marks a significant step in bolstering the firm’s capabilities in employment law.

Her academic contributions include teaching at ICADE, serving as a lecturer in specialization courses at the Madrid Bar Association and the Directorate General for Women, and participating in seminars and conferences. Villalba has also contributed numerous publications and collaborated with specialized labor law journals, further underscoring her role as a thought leader in the field.
