Hogan Lovells adds Íñigo Berrícano as Capital Markets partner in Madrid
With the addition of Íñigo Berrícano, who until now was a partner at Linklaters, the firm of Hogan Lovells Madrid – which celebrates its 20th anniversary in Spain this year – will now have 22 partners and more than 100 lawyers. Íñigo will work closely with the Corporate and Banking practices, which have, respectively, specialists in the financial sector.
José Luis Vázquez, managing partner of Hogan Lovells in the Madrid office, emphasized that “the incorporation of Íñigo is a reflection of our firm commitment to maintain and strengthen Hogan Lovells’ leadership in the financial sector. Íñigo is an undisputed reference in the sector and we are very pleased with his incorporation”.

The new partner in Madrid adds value to Hogan Lovells’ global Corporate & Finance practice, particularly in the Capital Markets area, a key practice for the firm, and joins other recent hires, including the addition in Italy of a team from Orrick, leader in Structured Finance, Debt Capital Markets and M&A, or the recent additions in Germany of Mesut Korkmaz and David Huthmacher, from Freshfields and Kirkland & Ellis respectively; or those of Nick Cusack and Edward Steward in London, from Weil and Slaughter & May respectively, among others.
Íñigo Berrícano comments: “It is a great satisfaction for me to join Hogan Lovells. It is an extraordinary firm, with excellent professionals and a very solid project to which I am delighted to contribute my experience”.
