WFW and Herbert Smith Frehills advise on the acquisition of 110MW solar project by NextEnergy Capital

NextEnergy Capital has acquired through its NextPower V ESG fund the 110 MW Pato solar PV project in Segovia, Spain, from IB Vogt.

The Pato solar farm will generate approximately 215.6 GWh of clean energy per year, enough to power 55,000 homes and avoid the emission of 47,000 tons of CO2 per year. Both parties will collaborate to hybridize the site with BESS in the coming years. The site uses bifacial tracking solar panels, which maximize efficiency and sustainability throughout its life cycle.

UK-based NextEnergy Capital is one of the world’s leading renewable energy managers, specializing in the solar and infrastructure sector. To date, it has invested in more than 460 solar plants with a total installed capacity of over 3 GW.

Committed to the decarbonization of the global power sector, Berlin-based IB Vogt focuses on the development of turnkey PV plants and battery storage projects, as well as the expansion of its IPP portfolio.
