“We are proud to have a professional with a proven track record and recognition in the field of Public and Regulatory Law as Javier. With his incorporation, we add a profile of the highest level both for an already excellent department such as Public Law, as well as for our Seville office”, says José Vicente Morote, managing partner of Andersen and co-head of the Public and Regulatory Law area of the Firm. “His profile fits perfectly with the Firm’s strategy of focusing on quality, specialization and excellence, as well as the fact that our offices have top-level teams in the main areas of business law,” he adds.

Javier Toribio holds a degree and doctorate in Law from the University of Seville, and a Master’s Degree in Corporate Legal Consultancy from IE Law School. As a lawyer, he has more than 20 years of experience in the practice of administrative law and, specifically, in urban planning, environment, water, energy and mining, among other regulated sectors. In these areas he has prepared opinions and reports, coordinated studies and provided technical-legal assistance to both private clients and public administrations, for which he has also participated in the drafting of legislative projects and regulatory developments, and has directed numerous litigations in the contentious-administrative order.

Along with his activity as a lawyer, Javier Toribio also teaches, being part of the teaching staff of the postgraduate programs of the Universidad Loyola, Cajasol Business School and the Public Law Department of the Universidad Pablo de Olavide.

The incorporation of Javier Toribio joins other partners such as Alicia Sáez, Ricardo Torres or Paloma Angulo who have recently joined the Andersen office in Seville, headed by Tomás Rivero. With these new hires, the firm now has a total of nine partners and is approaching fifty professionals in the Andalusian capital.
