Cerejeira advises MK Illumination on AM Experience acquisition
Cerejeira Namora, Marinho Falcão has advised MK Illumination, a festive lighting and decoration company based in Innsbruck, Austria, on the acquisition of all shares in the companies of the AM Experience Group. The Portuguese-owned group operates in the field of event production and shopping mall decoration. The law firm also provided counsel on the restructuring of MK Illumination’s operations in Portugal, which now involves more than five active companies.
The advisory services covered the entire M&A process, from the preliminary phase of advising investors on the company’s positioning for greater diversification and business growth in the Iberian region, to conducting legal due diligence, and preparing, negotiating, and finalizing the transaction documentation.
The transaction results
“MK Illumination strengthens and diversifies its position with the integration of the AM Experience Group, which has been solidifying its presence in the Portuguese and Spanish markets, having successfully completed 75 festive lighting projects in the last season alone. In addition to festive lighting projects, the group is also renowned for producing musical theater shows on ice, which attracted over 140,000 spectators in 2023,” stated Cerejeira.
