Andersen Advises on Major Brunete Urban Development
Andersen has provided legal counsel to the Compensation Board of Sector SR 5 ‘Ensanche Sur’, one of the largest urban development projects in the Madrid region. This project, which spans over 950,000 square meters and will include nearly 2,700 homes, is a key part of the capital’s ongoing expansion.
The firm’s team, led by Javier Martín-Merino, a partner in the Real Estate and Urban Planning department, together with Marina Vidal, an associate in the same department, drafted and processed the land redistribution project, which has now been registered in the Property Registry—making it the first of several ongoing sectors to complete this crucial step.
With the urbanization project already approved, construction is set to begin in 2024, coordinated with Brunete’s Special Infrastructure Plan. In total, SR 5 will allocate nearly 500,000 square meters for public infrastructure. Andersen also advises on the SR 1 ‘Primera Corona’ project, set to deliver around 2,300 additional homes.
