Dentons advised on Corning’s virtual PPA agreement with ib vogt for 88.78 MWp capacity
Dentons has advised Corning, a global leader in material science, on its virtual Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with international solar developer ib vogt GmbH for a capacity of 88.78 MWp.
The agreement involves renewable electricity from the Pato solar power farm in Segovia, Spain, offsetting Corning’s power consumption with clean energy. The Pato solar farm, to be operational by Q2 2025, will generate 215.6 GWh of solar power annually, equivalent to powering 55,000 households and reducing up to 47,000 tons of CO2 emissions each year.
This agreement reflects Corning’s commitment to sustainability and reinforces its efforts to achieve its environmental goals while contributing to Spain’s transition to a greener energy future.
The operation was led by M&A partner Fermín Garbayo, with support from associate Almudena Gurpegui.
