Legal Management Forum 2024 Celebrates Its 11th Anniversary
The Legal Management Forum (LMF), the leading annual event dedicated to innovation and transformation in the legal sector, will mark its 11th anniversary in Madrid on October 14 and 15, 2024. Organized by the Aranzadi LA LEY Foundation chaired by Cristina Sancho (pictured) and the think tank Inkietos, this year’s forum will bring together top legal professionals to tackle the key challenges and opportunities shaping the business law sector.
Presided over by His Majesty King Felipe VI in previous editions, the forum enjoys the continued support of Banco Santander España, the main sponsor since its inception in 2014. This year, under the theme “Gateway to a New Dimension,” the event will begin on October 8 with a private dinner at the Real Casino de Madrid. Key authorities and partners from 15 collaborating law firms will attend, and Pablo Hernández de Cos, Governor of the Bank of Spain (2018-2024), will deliver a keynote on Spain’s economic structural challenges.
On Monday, October 14, three parallel sessions will be hosted at Banco Santander España’s headquarters, covering topics such as “Data-Driven Management: How KPIs Can Transform Your Law Firm,” “Safe and Responsible Development of Generative AI,” and the “Implementation of Generative AI in Corporate Communication.”
The plenary session, scheduled for Tuesday, October 15, will take place at the Mutua Madrileña Auditorium, featuring 30 national and international experts. Notable speakers include Robert Mahari from MIT Media Lab & Harvard Law School, an expert in computational law; Alicia Muñoz-Lombardía, Deputy Secretary of the Board and Director of Governance, Regulation, and Legal Advisory for Commercial Banking at Santander España; Andrew Clark, General Counsel and Partner at A&O Shearman; and Pilar Jericó, a global leader in leadership development and change management.
This 11th edition of the Legal Management Forum will delve into critical issues impacting business law, including generative AI, the race for partnership among new generations, and the impact of the partnership model on profitability and competitiveness. Journalist Gloria Serra will host the event.
Renowned companies and law firms, including Mutualidad, Devoteam, Entelgy, IurisTalent, Vilaplana, Garrigues, Auren, BDO, CCS Abogados, Adarve Abogados, Ceca Magán, Cuatrecasas, DLA Piper, Écija, Gómez Acebo & Pombo, KPMG, Pérez-Llorca, Squire Patton Boggs, Roca-Junyent, and Uría Menéndez, will be participating.
