Gianfranco Calice, new Country Leader for Italy and Iberia for Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning
Gianfranco Calice is the new Country Leader for Italy and Iberia for Johnson Controls-Hitachi Air Conditioning, a global manufacturer of air conditioning systems. The permanent confirmation of the role comes after an interim appointment last January.
Already Country Manager for Italy since 2022, Calice will also head JCH Iberia (Spain and Portugal): he will be responsible for leading the two teams, working closely with Anna Khanova, Vice President and General Manager EMEA Residential and Light Commercial HVAC on the implementation of the Strategic Growth Plan to achieve business objectives in line with the JCH Europe strategy.
“I accept this appointment with great pride and responsibility,” says Calice. “I see great potential in both geographies and excellent opportunities to consolidate our brand penetration within our target markets. I am honored to lead two groups of people of such great professionalism. During these first months of the year, I have been able to see that the business dynamics of Italy and Iberia have many similarities. For this reason, I am convinced that pooling the best practices of the respective markets, as well as making the resources interact as if they were a single working group, will be able to be fundamental elements in pursuing the new important growth margins that we set ourselves.”
After gaining significant and multi-year experience at important multinational companies and leading LG’s sales management, Calice joined Hitachi Cooling & Heating in 2021, where he first held the role of sales manager and from 2022, the role of country manager for Italy, a period during which he outlined an important commercial growth project based on sustainability, innovation and design.
