Thomás de Carranza advises on Residential Conversion

Thomás de Carranza, a law firm specializing in real estate law, has advised on the acquisition of an industrial building in the Méndez Álvaro-Pacífico axis, which will be transformed into 43 apartments for sale.

The property, approximately 4,000 m², is one of the last industrial-use buildings in one of Madrid’s most cutting-edge areas, thanks to its radical urban transformation over the past decade.

According to the law firm, the operation was particularly complex, requiring simultaneous negotiations with multiple sellers and being executed in two phases: first, acquiring 80% of the building’s full ownership in common ownership, and second, extinguishing the existing condominium.

Santiago Thomás de Carranza, managing partner of the law firm, stated, “Our accumulated experience in such operations was crucial in achieving a high level of efficiency throughout all phases of the transaction, especially in the building’s change of use.”

The firm’s team was led by partners Iñigo Sánchez del Campo and Santiago Thomás de Carranza.
