AMMC Legal incorporates Mónica Lemos

AMMC Legal has announced that it is strengthening its team with the return of Mónica Lemos as senior associate, following the termination of her duties as Legal Advisor in the Office of the Vice President and Members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary.

Mónica Lemos will focus her practice mainly in the areas of public law, in particular urban planning and environment, including climate change and ESG, as well as data protection (GDPR) and whistleblowing.

Mónica Lemos began her professional career in 2006 as a Senior Legal Technician in Training at DGOTDU – General Directorate of Land and Urban Planning. In 2007, she joined LCA Sociedade de Advogados as an Associate, where she remained until 2011, when she accepted an invitation to become Legal Advisor at the Secretary of State for the Environment and Spatial Planning, from where she moved in 2013 to the Secretary of State for Entrepreneurship, Competitiveness and Innovation. Still in 2013, she returned to LCA Sociedade de Advogados and, in 2015, moved to AMMC Legal, where she remained until 2017.

Lemos holds a Law degree from the Law School of the University of Lisbon and a postgraduate degree in Spatial Planning, Urban Planning and Environmental Law from the Law School of Coimbra – CEDOUA – Centro de Estudos de Ordenamento do Território, Urbanismo e Direito Ambiental, in Local Government Law from the Law School of the University of Lisbon – Instituto de Ciências Jurídicas e Políticas and in Legal Sciences from the Law School of the Catholic University – Lisbon School. She has also attended the Course GDPR/Action Plan 2017/2018 for Public and Private Entities, taught by the Data Protection Training Center. She is currently attending the Intensive Course on Climate Change Regulation at the Law School of the Catholic University – Lisbon School.
