TELLES strengthens its tax team with two new lawyers

TELLES has bolstered its tax department with the addition of Vasco Simões and Mariana Leite da Silva, under the leadership of Miguel Torres, partner and chairman of the law firm.

Vasco Simões brings nine years of tax expertise, particularly in international expansion, tax consulting, transaction structuring, mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, financial operations, and real estate taxation. He holds a law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and a Master’s in Law and Management from the Católica Global School of Law and Católica-Lisbon School of Business and Economics. His professional background includes experience in law firms and a Big Four consultancy.

Mariana Leite da Silva has extensive experience advising both national and international clients across various sectors. She previously worked at a boutique tax law firm and is part of the technical team for the IPCG Corporate Governance Code. She holds a law degree and a Master’s in Legal and Economic Sciences from the University of Coimbra, along with postgraduate qualifications in Company Law and Banking, Stock Exchange, and Insurance Law. She has also served as a tutor and teaching assistant and contributed to research projects at the University of Coimbra.
