ELIA: the legal AI that will transform the legal management of startups

EDJ XTech Law School presents ELIA DÍAZ JAMES, the first artificial legal consultant trained specifically for startups. This innovative tool detects legal risks and assists in operational and business management from a legal perspective quickly and efficiently, allowing entrepreneurs to focus on innovation without worrying about legal hurdles.

ELIA offers a comprehensive analysis of the most common and specific legal risks in startups, covering areas such as labor law, commercial law, data protection and intellectual property. In addition, it addresses aspects of technology law, a field with few specialists and high costs.

Innovation in Legal Advice for Startups

Leyre Pérez and Lara Novis, founders of EDJ XTech Law School, explain that they have conducted more than 30 qualitative surveys of startups in the last year. These surveys revealed an urgent need to facilitate access to relevant legal information. “The cost of legal advice can be prohibitive for many startups, with rates between €150 and €500 per hour which often results in legal issues being relegated to the speed of business,” they comment. With ELIA, they seek to significantly reduce these costs by offering a free and accessible initial analysis that identifies risks that might go unnoticed.

It also offers access to practical solutions in the form of training products that enable the startup to autonomously manage some legal aspects, such as company incorporation, drafting bylaws and trademark registration. It also helps prevent fines and sanctions, especially in critical areas such as data protection, whose violations can result in significant fines.

Benefits of ELIA DÍAZ JAMES

-Identifies common risks in general areas of business management and entrepreneurship.

-Detects risks related to new regulations affecting technological development, where specialists are scarce.

-Most startups do not have a legal team in place during product development, resulting in legal risks that are unknown after the fact. ELIA identifies issues that the startup may not be aware of as they move forward with the project.

-Offers cost-effective training products such as how to videos or guides for startups to self-manage some legal aspects.

-Indicates when the intervention of a lawyer is indispensable and puts you in contact with specialized lawyers pre-filtered by the founding team, optimizing spending and ensuring that legal services are used only when they are really needed.
