Ramón Miralles joins Ecija in Barcelona

Ecija has significantly bolstered its Barcelona office with the appointment of Ramón Miralles as the new partner responsible for the privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance area.

With over 35 years of professional experience, Miralles was previously the Managing Partner of ECIX Catalonia. For fifteen years, he served as the Coordinator of Information Security and Audit at the Catalan Data Protection Authority. He holds a law degree from the University of Barcelona, is a practicing lawyer, and serves as a member of the Digital Transformation Commission of the Barcelona Bar Association.

Miralles’ extensive experience spans over three decades in the ICT sector, bridging technology and law. He is a member of the Technical Operations Committee of the Data Privacy Institute of ISMS Forum, a board member of the Spanish chapter of Cloud Security Alliance (CSA-ES), and the Secretary of the board of ENATIC. Additionally, he is involved with the Brussels Laboratory for Data Protection & Privacy Impact Assessments and is a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE from ISACA).
