Guzmán Global buys Endeka’s former zirconium plant in Malaysia: Advisors
Guzman Minerals has acquired Zircosil Malaysia from Matrix Chemicals Holdings and advised on the structuring of the process, negotiation of the offer and execution of the transaction. The transaction, signed and closed in April 2024, is Guzman Minerals’ first investment outside Spain.

Guzman Minerals, a subsidiary of Guzman Global, founded in 1939 in Spain, is a family-owned global supplier of industrial raw materials, with operations in 53 countries with c. 4,000 customers. With this transaction, it enhances the company’s zirconium milling capabilities, enabling its expansion into Southeast Asia and integrating the Zircosil brand into its Armin brand.
Zircosil Malaysia
Based in Malaysia, Zircosil Malaysia (Zircosil) is part of Matrix Chemicals Holdings Ltd. (Matrix), which specialises in the production of zircon raw materials in the Southeast Asian region for various industries, including ceramics, sanitary ware, refractories and foundry.
Pérez-Llorca has advised the Spanish group Guzmán Global in the negotiation of the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of the Malaysian company Matrix Metamaterials (Malaysia), owned by the Chinese group Matrix-Meta.
The transaction has been led by lawyers based in the Singapore office, who have had the continued support of the firm’s Madrid office.
