Monbake acquires 100% of the shares of La Niña del Sur: Advisors

Grupo Monbake, a national manufacturer of frozen bakery, pastries and frozen cakes, has announced the acquisition of La Niña del Sur, a family-owned company specialized in the production and marketing of bakery products, including frozen pizzas, pizza dough, savory snacks and puff pastries, located in the province of Murcia.

This transaction takes place right in the middle of the acquisition process of the group by the fund CVC Capital Partners. Last March, the fund, led by Javier de Jaime in Spain, acquired the entire stake in Grupo Monbake that Ardian and its co-investors in this project (Alantra, Artá and Landon) held to date.

Linklaters has advised Ardian and Monbake on the acquisition with a team led by Carmen Burgos (partner), with the support of Alina Martiniva (managing associate) and Manuel Rivera Álvarez (junior associate).

Garrigues has advised La Niña del Sur with a team formed by Miguel Ángel López Mateo, Bartolomé Ubeda (partners) and Rogelio Jiménez.
