SÉRVULO Expands Presence with New Azores Partnership

Sérvulo & Associados has announced a new partnership in the Azores with Borges da Ponte, Linhares Dias & Associados, enhancing its footprint in strategic jurisdictions. This collaboration marks the establishment of SÉRVULO LATITUDE⦵, a network of bilateral partnerships with leading law firms.

To commemorate this partnership, a conference titled “The Relevance of the Law of the Sea for the Azores” and focused on the “Urban Simplex” will be held in Ponta Delgada on May 16. The event will take place at the Teatro Micaelense and will feature distinguished speakers and panelists.

The opening panel, discussing the importance of the Law of the Sea for the Azores, will include José Manuel Sérvulo Correia, Jubilate Full Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and founding partner of Sérvulo & Associados; Rui Medeiros, Full Professor at the Faculty of Law of the Catholic University and Partner in Sérvulo & Associados; and Paulo Linhares Dias, Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Coimbra and Partner in BPLD&A.

The second panel will delve into the risks and advantages of the “Urban Simplex,” featuring insights from João Fortunato Sousa, Founding Partner of Fortunato & Pimentel da Costa Advogados; Eduardo Gonçalves Rodrigues, Partner at Sérvulo & Associados; and moderated by Artur Gomes da Costa, Chairman of the Board of Norma Açores.

The conference will be inaugurated by Mário Pinho, Regional Secretary for the Sea and Fisheries, and concluded by Luís Garcia, President of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

This initiative signifies Sérvulo’s ongoing commitment to expanding its network and fostering collaborative relationships with key legal partners in strategic regions.
