Ospina Abogados signs Luis de las Heras as partner
Ospina Abogados, has signed criminal lawyer Luis de las Heras, until now Durán & Durán, to head the criminal litigation area “at a time when it was necessary to strengthen the firm in view of its sustained growth”, according to the firm.
The criminal lawyer becomes the fourth partner, adding synergies with Juan Gonzalo Ospina, Beatriz Uriarte and Juan Antonio García Jabaloy.
Luis de las Heras
Luis de las Heras began his professional career as a criminal lawyer at IGH Abogados y Economistas, and later joined Durán & Durán. He is also a Full Member of the Royal European Academy of Doctors and a practicing lawyer of the Madrid Bar Association. He is Vice-President of the Instituto de Derecho Iberoamericano (IDIBE) and author of more than fifty publications in the fields of Criminal Dogmatic and Criminal Policy, Personality Rights and Law and Literature.
He is a professor at different universities; member of the Editorial Committee of the journal Actualidad Jurídica Iberoamericana and of the Editorial Board of the Revista Boliviana de Derecho. He has also participated as speaker in numerous national and international congresses on the referred subjects.

At the end of 2023, our boutique law firm exceeded the figure of one million euros in turnover after a 17% growth in files compared to 2022. A total of 327 files were handled, the highest number since the firm was founded in 2016.
