Cuatrecasas advises on the integration of insurance intermediary Portinsurance in Concentra
Cuatrecasas has advised the Concentra group on the integration of the Portuguese insurance intermediary Portinsurance. This merger places the group in the top 5 independent insurance intermediaries in the Iberian Peninsula and in the top 10 of the largest mediation groups in the Portuguese market.
With its head office in Cantanhede and 12 other offices across the country, Portinsurance has more than half a hundred employees and an extensive network of exclusive agents.
From now on, the Concentra Group’s operations in Portugal will be developed under an independent, well-differentiated strategy, team and brand, such as Portinsurance (exclusive agents), Melior (corporate business) and MEDIAN (international business).
The firm Portuguese team that provided legal advice on this operation was made up of lawyers João Mattamouros Resende, who coordinated the team, Jorge Serrote (pictured) and Sofia Marques de Aguiar, from the corporate and M&A area, and Ana Sofia Silva, from the financial services and insurance area.
