Ejaso advises on Bullnet Capital’s €1.5m investment in Mapsi Photonics
Ejaso has led the advisory role in the €1.5 million investment by Bullnet Capital, an independent Spanish venture capital firm, in Mapsi Photonics, a spin-off of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) specialising in the development of infrared filters based on macroporous silicon.
Maps iPhotonics, led by PhDs in electronics David Cardador Maza and Daniel Segura García, has emerged as a pioneer in the field of photonics, offering a new approach to the manufacture of optical filters. Its innovative technology, based on the selective drilling of pure silicon, promises to revolutionise various industries by providing higher performance, resolution and robustness, while reducing pollution and environmental emissions.
The investment marks a significant milestone for both entities, consolidating the financial backing necessary for the expansion and technological development of Mapsi Photonics.
