Uría Menéndez to Close New York Office After 34 Years

Uría Menéndez will not renew the lease for its office at 277 Park Avenue in New York. The law firm, led by Salvador Sánchez-Terán, will no longer have its own headquarters in the United States starting in June, after more than three decades in Manhattan.

Since 2021, José Félix Zaldívar (pictured) has been in charge of the firm’s office in New York. Zaldívar succeeded Javier Tortuero, who held the position from 2016 to 2020. The New York office has been open since 1990.
