CMS advises on the sale of NTT Data’s business unit, AUNAV
CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo has advised NTT Data on the sale of its “AUNAV” business unit, focused on applied technology in the security and defence sector, especially in the design, manufacture and maintenance of robotic units, both for public and private clients.
The business unit has been acquired by Escribano Mechanical & Engineering, one of the most active companies in the defence sector. Aunav operated as a business line of NTT Data and this acquisition represents a strategic commitment for the buyer, as the firm has all the technological and production capabilities for the development of the systems.
The transaction has been led from CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo by Ignacio Cerrato, partner in the Corporate/M&A area, together with Francisco Javier Arias and Álvaro García-Pelayo, consultant and associate, respectively, from the same department.
In addition, partner César Navarro and senior associate Helena Monzón, from the Labour Law department, and Lucía Signes and Ana Doval, associates from the IP/Digital Law and public law and regulated sectors departments, respectively, also participated.
