Andersen incorporates Francisco Ferrandis as Tax Partner

Andersen has hired Francisco Ferrandis as Tax Partner in the Valencia office. He joins from Cuatrecasas to reinforce not only the tax practice but also to expand a line of service that is highly developed in the firm, such as financial structuring in the field of culture and R+D+i.

Francisco Ferrandis holds a Law Degree from the University of Valencia and a Master’s Degree in Business Tax Consultancy from the Instituto de Empresa. He has a professional career of 24 years as a lawyer specialising in tax law, which he has developed mainly at Cuatrecasas.

Throughout his career, he has specialised in providing tax advice to companies in different sectors and, in particular, to financial institutions, as well as to clients in the chemical, retail and agri-food sectors. He has extensive experience advising on domestic and cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures and strategic alliances, corporate restructurings and financial and real estate transactions. In addition, he has a long track record in advising on the design of investment products and tax benefits related to the innovation and culture sectors. In the academic field, he is a lecturer on the Master’s Degree in Tax Consultancy at the Catholic University of Valencia.

José Vicente Morote, Managing Partner of Andersen in Iberia, emphasised that, “with this incorporation we give an important boost to the Valencia office, which is headed by Benjamín Prieto (pictured right) , and, in particular, to the Tax area, which already has a very strong team”. With this, he continued, “we are also strengthening our capabilities in a very specialised area in the field of culture and innovation, areas to which the Valencian Community is giving a strong boost with new lines of aid and the development of the City of Light”.
