Ontier advises on securing Silbö Telecom´s €20M investment
Ontier has advised the new Spanish telco company Silbö Telecom on a €20M equity investment that gathered 11 investors from Spain and Andorra and that has furthermore been backed by the 5 most renowned Spanish banks.
Investors’ —many of them strategic partners— profiles go from big industry corporates to family offices and worldwide known public figures from the sports and entertainment industry.
The investment will help boost the company, that, among other movements to be announced, has already bet for the Spanish Football Federación (Real Federación Española de Fútbol) as its first sponsorship agreement on a two-year basis.
The company’s founder and CEO Jorge Moran says that the transaction “was oversubscribed and several investors that couldn’t make it this time are still interested and waiting for new chances to invest in the company as we are the industry game changer with our “Real Smart Cost” concept and we are moving forward expecting to open by the end of this year circa 100 own stores (225 by 2025) and reaching €1.2M clients in 2027 with a €200M turnover in four years”.
The Ontier team has been led by Ignacio Arce Orejas, senior corporate & M&A lawyer, together with Pelayo García-Bernardo Albornoz and Laura Zaldívar Lobato, senior and junior corporate & M&A lawyers, all three belonging to the Ontier Norte team based in Oviedo. The Board of Directors of Silbö agreed to appoint Ignacio Arce and Pelayo García-Bernardo as secretary and vice-secretary of the board of directors, respectively.
