Andersen Advises on the Sale of two Biogas Plants to Redexis
Andersen has played a key advisory role in the sale of two biogas plants, BioRed Lorca (formerly known as Galivi Solar) and BioRed Los Alcázares (formerly known as GV Ecogest), both located in the Region of Murcia, to Redexis Renovables, a subsidiary of the Redexis group focused on the production of renewable gases for 22 million euros.
The acquisition, launch, and operation of these plants, along with their adaptation to biomethane, align with the company’s goal of establishing itself as a leading player in the promotion of renewable gas in Spain. With these acquisitions, Redexis Renovables currently has EnergyGreen Gas Almazán, BioRed Lorca and BioRed Los Alcázares and closes 2023 with eight additional new plants in the pipeline. The company also expects to have more than 30 biomethane plants by 2030, which will mobilise an investment of more than 400 million euros.
Leading the advisory team from Andersen was Juan Manuel Castillo (pictured left), Director in the Corporate and M&A department, alongside Gonzalo Soler (pictured right), Lawyer in the same department. The transaction also received financial advisory support from Infinitto Capital.
