Rafael Aguilera new Banking and Finance Coordinator at GA_P

Gómez-Acebo & Pombo has announced the appointment of Rafael Aguilera as the new coordinator for the Banking and Financial practice area. Aguilera succeeds Miguel Lamo de Espinosa, who held the position for the past eight years, and will now focus on coordinating the Restructuring and Special Situations Team, an area of significant importance, and expanding the international business of the department and the firm.

With this appointment, the firm aims to further strengthen its position as a leading firm in providing advisory services to banks and financial entities.

Rafael Aguilera brings a wealth of experience in the banking sector, specializing in credit operations and corporate finance. His expertise includes corporate financing, acquisition financing, LBOs, asset financing (primarily real estate and project financing), special and hybrid transactions (debt/equity), as well as debt refinancing and restructuring. He is a regular advisor to major Spanish financial institutions and credit funds, actively participating in some of the most complex transactions in recent years.
