Ceca Magán and Grant Thornton sign an agreement to provide Digital Assets and Web3 services

Ceca Magán Abogados and the professional services firm Grant Thornton -through its business and innovation consulting line- have signed a collaboration agreement to jointly provide services focused on Web 3 and digital assets. To this end, professor Alfredo Muñoz has joined the legal firm as Of Counsel, who already performed this same work at Grant Thornton.

Alfredo Muñoz

The collaboration will have Alfredo Muñoz as its central figure. The Doctor of Law and Professor of Commercial Law at the Complutense University, is a recognized legal expert in the field of Digital Assets in Spain and LATAM and a reference in Web3. Muñoz, who already collaborated for some time as Of Counsel with Grant Thornton, will develop this same work within Ceca Magán thanks to the implementation of this collaboration.

Digital Asset Services and Web3

This collaboration agreement anticipates the requirements of the MiCA Regulation and the Pilot Regime in DLT in a holistic way; it will allow to offer a set of contents to companies that are positioning themselves in Digital Assets. Both firms share a common interest in collaborating in the dissemination and knowledge of the challenges and opportunities posed by the development of the new regulatory framework, towards which not only the banking and financial sector is moving, but also others that identify business niches and require maximum technical and legal security.

For their part, Ramón Mesonero-Romanos and José Ramón Couso, partners of Ceca Magán, value this alliance very positively: “For the firm Ceca Magán, the incorporation of Professor Alfredo Muñoz as Of Counsel, helps to reinforce and strongly consolidate the digital law area Fintech and Digital Assets Unit in order to meet the innovative needs required by clients in blockchain, cryptoassets and asset tokenization matters. The diligent attention of these projects in an indissociable technical-legal duality, is possible thanks to the collaboration agreement signed with Grant Thornton (as an undisputed expert in the technical management of digital asset projects), will allow to combine both visions for the benefit of the client and its strategic objectives.”
