Cuatrecasas, Pérez-Llorca and Legance have advised on the agreement between Plenitude (an Eni subsidiary), BrueFloat Energy and Sener Renewable Investments to join in their strategic alliance to advance the development of offshore wind projects in Spain.

The agreement with Plenitude reinforces the joint venture formed by BlueFloat and Sener Renewable Investments 3 years ago, creating a leading consortium in the offshore wind sector in Spain with a total portfolio of approximately 1.25 GW of floating offshore wind projects in Galicia (Nordés Park), Catalonia (Parc Tramuntana) and the Canary Islands (Tarahal Park).
In Spain, Plenitude manages 430 MW of solar PV and onshore wind in operation, 1 GW of projects under construction and more than 2 GW of projects under development. The company also manages a network of electric car charging points and provides electricity and energy services to more than 300,000 customers in the country. Plenitude operates in 15 countries, with a portfolio of around 3 GW of renewable capacity in operation, a target of 7 GW of capacity expected to be operational by 2026 and more than 15 GW by 2030.
Cuatrecasas has advised BlueFloat Energy and Sener Renewable Investments with a team formed by Federico Roig, M&A partner, together with Irene Moreno-Tapia, competition partner, and lawyers Miguel Ángel Castaño, Alfonso Coronel de Palma and Jaime Sepúlveda.
The Pérez-Llorca team was formed by Alejandro Alberte, corporate partner, Ana Cremades, regulatory partner, Lucía Rodríguez, corporate lawyer, Cristina García Ibáñez, regulatory lawyer, Paula Álvarez de la Ballina, corporate lawyer and Alejandro Santamaría, corporate lawyer.
The Legance team was formed by Monica Colombera, senior partner, and Gian Filippo Bendandi, senior associate.
