Women in a Legal World launches its M&A Commission

Women in a Legal World (WLW), the prestigious association dedicated to empowering and showcasing female talent and leadership in the legal sector, reached a significant milestone with the introduction of its M&A Commission. The event, held at the Linklaters auditorium in Madrid and sponsored by WTW and Linklaters, brought together approximately 100 individuals and gathered prominent professionals from the sector.

Boosting the visibility of women in M&A and enabling more of them to attain positions of responsibility, leadership, and partnerships are among the objectives of the newly created M&A Commission of Women in a Legal World. The launch of this commission marks another step in establishing specialized technical committees within the association, adding to the recently inaugurated Restructuring and Insolvency Commission, Health Law Commission, and Energy Commission.

The presentation began with welcoming remarks from the commission’s leaders, Carmen Burgos, Corporate Partner at Linklaters, and Sol Sánchez Bacharach, Corporate Lawyer at Cuatrecasas.
